What makes me who I am?

In wondering what I want to do on this website, I've come to the conclusion that I would like to add a blog; Although I'm not sure what I would like to keep as a constant topic, I think it would be useful for the readers to know more about myself.

What are the main facets of my personality?

  • Style

  • Quality

  • Technology

  • Exercise

  • Podcasts

  • Efficiency

  • Habits

Now, What do those mean in regards to me? Well, let us dive a little deeper.

Style

I won best dressed in my senior year of high school. Clothing does not make the man, however, it does convey a great deal about who you are in my eyes.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    I tend to dress more on the nicer side, tending to wear a polo as casual, and chinos and a button up shirt and tie for work. I pay attention to details, what goes into my pockets, I try to come off as a gentleman, as being a high-quality person is something important to me.

Quality

You might be reading quality thinking "well the quality of what?" and that my friend is where I take you by surprise. I care about the quality of a lot of things. My shaving is a single bladed razor. I use a nice candle when I am in my room, my pens, I care about taking care of myself with lotion, use a dopp bag, and a weekender bag when I travel. I take great care of my iced coffee using a slow drip method that I will possibly explore more in the future on this blog. Coffee, in general, I have a fine taste for.

Technology

I used to be determined I was going into computer engineering, I took engineering classes all throughout high school and applied to engineering programs at all of my colleges, even built a PC back in 2014, and although I changed majors I still love my computers. My current daily technology includes a 2017 15' MacBook Pro touch bar, an iPhone X, an Apple watch series 1, and airports. As seems fairly obvious, I am an apple fan.

Exercise

I have been an exercise addict for a while now, initially from track, being a distance runner, before that, I always played soccer and throughout high school, I was a tri-sport athlete and commonly played two sports during the winter.

Currently, I have taken on more of a weightlifting concentration as I was rather small because of the way distance running treats your body. I know a fair share about running, working out, and nutrition, so I consider myself well versed in the topics.

Podcasts

Many people listen to music while they are driving or running or exercising or just doing tasks around the house, or others will choose to not listen to anything at all; me, however, am subscribed to 35 podcasts, most of which publish 60-90 minute shows once a week so I spend the large majority of my time on my phone just listening to podcasts on the overcast app. I got into podcasts in the 8th grade, and ever since have been growing my feed more and more.

Efficiency

Efficiency is something I've always tried to maximize. I make good use of my calendar, my to-do list, my music and the environment and how they all affect my productivity. I try to make it a personal goal to not waste time but to seize that time which we have to do the most we can.

Habits

They always say successful people thrive off of habits, so I have a handful of habits I follow; I meditate twice a day for ten minutes each time, I wake up early, I wash my face, I brush my teeth, exercise, eating healthily and so on.

In Conclusion:

I have many parts of myself that I would love to go more in-depth on through this blog and look forward to the posts however I am curious, what topic would YOU prefer for me to explore first?
